Our Foundations
McDowell's DreamWorld Mineral foundations come in 3 formulas...

Mist, Sand, and Luna. Each have their own advantages for using, while leaving your skin looking healthy and glowing as well as natural, which is the most important of things...

Mist-is the lightest of the 3 formulas.  It is perfect for ladies who live in the environment where they don't want anything heavy.  There is a limited amount of zinc in this formula.

Sand-is the medium formula.  It is perfect for ladies looking for medium to heavy coverage.  And although it offers wonderful coverage, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin...but light and soft.  Your skin will love it and like the mist, sands is limited on the zinc.

Luna-is the heaviest coverage of the 3 formulas.  While offering wonderful coverage the Lunas do not cause a cakey look and will feel soft on the skin, while having a long lasting effect.  Luna offers the highest amount of Zinc and is wonderful for ladies who have acne and rosacea.  The zinc helps to diminish redness and inflamation caused by these problems.

 Foundation Application

When applying your foundation...you will find that you do not have to buff in my foundations....just apply on in small amounts and layer them to get to the coverage that you are trying to achieve...

You will find that even in multiple layers the foundations are light, airy and do not feel cakey...which can be a detriment....

You can apply your foundation in of 2 ways...which ever is easier for you...

After your face is washed, toned, moisturized, and the moisture has soaked in...you are ready to apply your foundation...

1.Taking your flat top brush, you tip the brush into the foundation and then tap off all the excess foundation and then apply on the face...you will find that your face feels soft and has a soft glow...you need to repeat this process until you get to the level you are wanting to achieve...

2. If you are having a problem with applying your foundation on as a powder...then this may be your solution...
Use your favorite moisturizer, place a bit on it in the palm of your hand, or a saucer, then mix in some of your foundation powder into it...then apply on your face...you can adjust the color by adding more foundation, so just use a little at a time...and make up only what you will use in one application.  You will find that you retain the waterproofness of the foundation while having a healthy, glowing look.
If you have large pores, this is a wonderful way to use the foundation so that they don't show...plus for someone just learning...it's another wonderful choice...

Then apply the powder veil of your choice along with the rest of your makeup.
Now....Introducing out silk formulas.....
In 2640 BC, Princess Xi Ling Shi was the first to reel a cocoon of silk, which had, as per legend, fell into her cup of tea. While reeling it in she got the idea of using it to make cloth...which ended up being the first silk cloth....

From that time onward, the Chinese have maintained a monopoly on the production of silk and silk worms....which grow in Mulberry Trees.  From this China had a total monopoly on the production of silk worms and silk production....which were highly guarded information....

But in 552 AD, Emporer Justinian sent 2 monks on a mission to Asia.  Accomplishing their mission, they returned to the Byzantium with silkworm eggs hidden in their bamboo walking sticks...which became the first known case of industrial espionage!!!!

From that time onward, silk became known throughout Asia minor and Greece and as Crusades came and went, travel was done, the knowledge of the silk became known to all the world.

Silk powder has become very popular in skin care products...it offers 18 amino acids that soak easily into the skin, it both reflects and absorbs UV rays, it is a natural moisture adjusting product that can absorb or release moisture as the temperature and humidity change making it a "breathing" powder, and it can absorb oils...making it both great for oily and dry skin....

Because of the ingredients of the Silk Foundations(mulberry) they tend to run darker then say the lunas and sands...if you use the cloud(rice) or the mists without problem and know the color for those...then these are on the same level...

I am still working on these...but they should be up for sale by the weekend...Thank you so much for your patience.
